A while ago, I got this Pepperberry dress on sale! Pepperberry’s whole angle is that they make clothing that accommodates your boobs without making you look like a sack of potatoes. I was curious about the brand and figured that since the fabric of this dress has some stretch, it was less of a risk, size-wise.
I definitely had better luck with this dress than another one I bought that didn’t have stretchy fabric. That one was fine in the boob area, okay at the waist… and almost a disaster at the hips. Basically the lining was much tighter than the dress itself. I had to alter the lining — then it fit much better.
Anyway, this dress: I wanted (yet another) dress for work. It seems versatile enough. At least it’s comfortable, which is always a plus. The fabric is on the thick side - good for what passes for winter in Phoenix, and has a dark purple lining. It is much more forgiving in the hips/butt area. Would I buy from Pepperberry again? Probably, but I would approach with extreme caution any dresses that don’t have fabric with give. Their waist/hips sizing seems fairly standard (read: made for the slight hourglass), as their focus is on making clothes that fit ones boobs.
(In case you wondered what my waist looks like without a corset, now you know)
